A robot deburring system can be designed according to the following principles:

1. Tool-controlled:
   The deburring tool is attached to the robot and is guided along the contour of the workpiece by the robot arm. This construction is particularly important when large and heavy parts have to be deburred.
2. Workpiece controlled:
   For most deburring tasks performed by robots, the deburring unit is permanently mounted and the parts to be deburred are fed by the robot.
